Delhi minor rape case:
What is Modi and his L-G doing, asks Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi, 17/10 : Reacting to the rape of two minors in the capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday lashed out at the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.
Two cases of minor girl, one a two-and-half year old and the other a five years old, being gang-raped were reported in Delhi.
Commenting on the incident, Arvind Kejriwal wr0te on Twitter, “Repeated rape of minors is shameful and worrying. Delhi police has completely failed to provide safety.” He further questioned, “What are PM n his LG doing?” The two-and-half-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from a ‘Ramlila’ event, and was left in a park. The girl has been admitted in GTB hospital. The five-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in Delhi’s Anand Vihar area and all three accused have been arrested.
Few weeks ago, Kejriwal sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention in resolving the “unprecedented” situation arising due to differences between his government and the Centre and said he was ready to go the “extra mile” to settle them for sake of the city’s development. In a letter to Modi, Kejriwal said Delhi’s development has been hit by the fissures between the two sides and that there should be no reason why the two “well-meaning” governments cannot resolve their differences.
